In Today’s Issue

Brain Bite - We’ve Been Rethinking

👋Hey there, Neurospicy Friends!

First off — thank you.
Your feedback over the past few weeks has been incredible.

Whether you shared a quick thought or a deep story, it helped us more than you know. This newsletter only exists because of this community — and we don’t take your time or trust lightly.

We’ve Been Rethinking

Behind the scenes, we’ve been doing some actual research (yes, the real kind - with notes and everything) to figure out  how we can actually help — not just add more noise to your inbox and find our way to your spam folder.

We’re zeroing in on things that save time, cut costs, reduce overwhelm, and maybe—just maybe—make daily life suck a little less.

Because here's the thing: Most product reviews are written by and for neurotypical brains.

They miss the details that make or break a product for us—like whether that "life-changing" meal planner has overwhelming visual clutter or if that "amazing" kitchen gadget makes ear-piercing noises.

The result? A lot of wasted money and a lot of disappointment.

Our Solution: Reviews by neurodivergent people, for neurodivergent people, using criteria that actually matter to our daily functioning.

Think of us as your Neurodivergent Trustpilot!

Sanity-Saving Solutions, No Overwhelm Included

Starting with the next issue, we’re skipping the fluff and serving up honest product reviews for neurodivergent adults — tools, tech, and hacks that actually save time, money, and mental energy. No staged commercials, just real stuff that helps you function and find a little food joy without breaking the bank (or your brain).

Each product will be assessed with real-world, lived-experience criteria — not based on neurotypical assumptions.

Here’s how we’ll evaluate everything:

🔁 Rigidity & Routines
Does it support predictability and flexibility — without forcing one-size-fits-all systems?

👂 Sensory Sensitivities
How does it handle noise, light, textures, clutter, and whether it’s customizable to your comfort?

🧠 Executive Function
Is it simple to set up, easy to use, and helpful for starting, finishing, or organizing tasks?

💛 Emotional Regulation
Does it lower stress, reduce friction, or avoid emotionally-draining features?

🧍‍♀️ Social Confidence
How might it impact confidence, support clearer communication or lessen social effort?

💸 Cost-Effectiveness
Does it give real value — not just in dollars, but in time, energy, and peace of mind?
